WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama has opened a 9-point lead over Republican John McCain in the U.S. presidential race amid turmoil in the financial system and growing pessimism about the economy, according to a Washington Post-ABC News national opinion poll released on Wednesday.

Among likely voters, the poll found Obama now leads McCain by 52 percent to 43 percent. Two weeks ago the race was essentially even, with McCain at 49 percent and Obama at 47 percent, the Post reported.

The financial crisis brought on the collapse of the credit market has become the No. 1 issue leading up to the November 4 presidential election.

Fifty-two percent of those polled said they believe the economy has moved into a serious long-term decline.

Eighty percent said they are concerned about the overall direction of the economy, nearly three-quarters worry about the shocks to the stock market, and six in 10 are apprehensive about their own family finances, the newspaper said.

Half of the respondents called the economy and jobs the single most important issue that will determine their vote, up from 37 percent two weeks ago.

The poll found Obama has a big edge as the candidate who is more in tune with the economic problems Americans now face, the Post said.

The Illinois senator also has a double-digit advantage on handling the current problems on Wall Street, and as a result, there has been a rise in his overall support, the report said.

Neither Obama nor McCain, an Arizona senator, has said he would oppose the Bush administration’s financial industry bailout plan being negotiated with Congress, although both have been critical of it.

But the $700 billion price tag would almost certainly restrict the agenda and limit the number of costly programs advocated by whoever becomes the next president.

Less than six weeks before the election, Independents now favor Obama, 53 percent compared with 39 percent for McCain. McCain had a small lead among these swing voters just after the Republican convention.

Two weeks ago, McCain had a substantial advantage among white voters. Now the candidates run evenly among white women, and Obama has narrowed the overall gap among white voters to five percentage points, the Post said.

The survey of 1,082 people, including 916 registered voters, was conducted Friday through Monday. The margin of error for the full sample is plus or minus three percentage points and four points for the sample of 780 likely voters.

Living inside the house with three members, a husband, a live in boy friend, and the wife.

A commotion happened on Sunday where the husband and wife were having sex while the wifey’s boyfriend is at the living room in jealous rage.

Michael Reed, 21, the boyfriend wanted to enter the room but the couple didn’t like the idea. Later on, Michael manage to enter into the living room and pushed the husband, Tracy Lee, 25. The two have a fist fight all over the apartment.

When police arrived, Reed was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for injuries, and both were eventually taken to jail.

According to the charges the two are facing the following.

The husband, Tracy Lee, 25, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and battery, and he was released Tuesday from the Fulton County Jail on $25,000 bond.

The boyfriend, Michael Reed, 21, is facing two felony charges, including aggravated assault. He, too, got out of jail Thursday after posting $35,000 bond.

The wife can no longer be contacted on their whereabouts.

If the Memorandum of Agreement on Ancestral Domain (MOA-AD) is heavily loaded in favor of the MILF, it is because the deal was crafted in Kuala Lumpur. Had the GRP-MILF talks been held in some uninterested countries like Switzerland or in The Netherlands, the government could have negotiated for a fairer deal.

It is understandable that Malaysia would prefer a Bangsamoro homeland to be set up in Mindanao rather than in Sabah. And the more the Filipino Muslims will be preoccupied with fighting in Min­danao, the more they will forget about the Sabah claim.

It is not even far-fetched to imagine that Malaysia is still supplying arms and logistics to the MILF while brokering a peaceful settlement between the rebels and the government.

These statements unveil a spicy controversy that the traitor in our backyard is Malaysia. Malaysia is a major Muslim state but has some dark plans to maintain Sabah as their own while paying annual tribute to the Sulu Sultanate.

It makes sense now that these Malaysian stalwarts are aiming for a greater Malaysia. Why not let these MILF’s go back on their history books to help the Sultan of Sulu recapture Sabah from the Malaysians?

The MILF leaders are in the end the laughing stock of Malaysian authorities because they give in to their trap. Poor rebels they don’t use their minds and lest they just keep on bluffing at Philippine Authorities.

The whole society is in shambles especially those people in the customs department. Our Police who are making planted witnesses and planted evidences. Newspaper columnists who don’t write their articles and pretty much busy on Shabu! House Representatives who are always absent. Former Marcos cronies who can’t be put to Jail. Actor ex President can’t spend jail for entire life. Sitting President who is not ashame. Greedy senators. Leftist groups who always complain. Engineers who are corrupt.

For most cases, to implement a positive change in our society, it is better to do a top-down approach rather than bottom-up. paggaling kasi sa bottom ang change, it will not mean much unless there is some critical mass. saka if konti lang kayo, how can you even move a bit the giant garbage heap on top of us if you are at the bottom, mahirap huminga sa ilalim, nakaka suffocate ang baho.

Istill believe change has to start from the top. that is the ideal. if not, at least dun sa upper top area. those of us in the bottom, marami na tayong problema sa pang-araw araw para isipan pa ang mga bagay na iyan. and kung magpapaka hero ako, siguro yung iba na lang…..i don’t want to be part of the statistics na tinigok ng mga hitman dahil i want to institute changes in our economy/govt/society. sang bala lang ako. lahat tayo tig-isa isang bala lang…and sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, mura lang umupa ng hitman.

Ang problema kasi natin e papano tayo makakapag elect ng karapat dapat na tao na uupo sa ating gobyerno. Parati nating sinasabi na e kasi ang mga tao e nabibili sa eleksyon (which is true) pero kung titingnan natin ang mas malalim na dahilan kung bakit mukhang puro bulok ang ating nailoloklok sa ating pamahalaan e dahil ito sa pagkasira ng 2 party system ng ating political arena. Before the martial law, we used to have Liberal and Nacionalista party just like the Democrats and Republicans in the US. Now we only have the pro-administration or anti administration parties, the only defining principles between the two, is that the pro receives all the biyaya and the huge part of pork barrel while the anti administration receives less. But in terms of what principles or mission statements defines and differentiate the two parties, there is none.

The advantage of having 2 well defined and differentiated parties is that by the party alone, the voters will be able to differentiate the candidates in terms of what principles they represent. Like in the US, the Republicans are known to be the conservatives, they are anti-abortion, not gay/lesbian friendly and believes that by taxing the people and business community less, it will encourage savings and more investments. On the other hand the democrats are known to be liberals, they are gay friendly, they are pro-choice (pro abortion) and they support more taxes to finance the welfare benefits for the people. So depending on which set of principles you support you can make an intelligent decision based on those principles.

We desire that Filipinos is best to be under the cudgels of Foreign Power than Filipinos ruling other Filipinos with injustice, greed, and apathy.
